Newly Improved Wireless Kindle 2 Reader

When the book retailer Amazon first came on the scene, it introduced the online bookstore to us. This time round, it has taken that move one step further by offering its merchandise in electronic form. All this is done through a new wireless reading device called the Amazon Kindle 2. The stage is now set for complete electronic reading if you choose; yes, e-books electronically procured and read with an electronic reader.

The Kindle electronic reader is engineered to download blogs, books, newspapers, and magazines. Periodicals are automatically sent to the device. Technology has afforded us with a very practical alternative to holding a book, magazine or other reading material and turning from one page to another. The Amazon Kindle is indeed powerful and is only surpassed by its successor the Kindle 2.

The Kindle electronic reader is designed to operate on its own. It is connected directly to the Amazon Whispernet through 3G technology for media flow, synching and even internet browsing. There's no service plan, contracts or bills to worry about because this feature is paid for by Amazon. About the only cost upon the user is power consumption on the battery; recharging every 4 to 5 days of continuous operation as opposed to 2 weeks with the wireless turned off.

Whispernet is Kindle's dedicated wireless network. It carries the delivery system of its e-books and other reading materials. The service is practically instant. Within a minute of placing order, users can be reading away. The first few pages of the books are also available for sampling before deciding to buy. This wireless feature is currently not available outside the country but it shouldn't be for long as the Kindle is meant for traveling.

The best thing about this wireless reader is its crisp black-and-white paper-like display. For an electronic screen, it's very easy on the eyes especially for those who read for long periods. The display is based on the Vizplex version of E-ink technology with no backlighting. Reading is thus 100% natural in bright sunlight and you won't have a problem with the screen getting too hot from reading too long either.

Furthermore, Whispernet makes use of Amazon's optimized technology plus Sprint's national high-speed (EVDO) data network for users to wirelessly search, download, synch and read content. The maiden Kindle has been further enhanced into the Kindle 2. By seriously considering user feedback on the original Kindle, Amazon is gratefully able to come up with an even more impressive Kindle Wireless Reader for its readers now.

The Kindle 2 Portable eBook Reader

In the past decade or so, there had been many failed attempts at making our reading become smoother and faster. That's until online book retailer Amazon came along and again made the difference in enhancing the reading experience, with a reading device called the Kindle Portable Reader. In deft fashion, its extraordinary features for reading are complemented by its novel way of acquiring the very content.

The Amazon Kindle is a user-friendly and portable reader. It has the capability of downloading blogs, books, newspapers, and magazines. Traditionally, heavy-duty reading meant turning thick pages of paper but nowadays, electronic reading is very different. It is not only mobile but it can also carry your entire library of books and is connected constantly to your bookshop through wireless network.

Unlike other funky devices, the Kindle does not require a personal computer to download its media. Furthermore, syncing is smart and automatic. This electronic book reader is equipped with internet capability through 3G technology on which the Amazon Whispernet service is rendered. This feature comes with the purchase of the reader so users don't have to concern themselves with the wireless service plan, contract, or bills thereafter.

The Amazon Whispernet wireless service is a one-of-a-kind delivery system which enables users to obtain any e-book on its library within a minute. This facility is currently not available outside the US but those who have had a taste of the electronic book reader would know that it's a matter of time that it becomes so. US users can download and sample the beginning pages of books for free before deciding whether to purchase the book or not.

Appearance-wise, this portable reader is as impressive as its capabilities. The crisp black-and-white screen could easily be mistaken for some fine-grade printed paper. The high-tech virtual ink is designed to be just like real ink-on-paper in terms of appearance and readability so much so that there is no backlighting either. Therefore, it would not be difficult to read in bright sunlight and the screen never heats up so you don't have to limit how long you should be reading on that account.

Furthermore, Whispernet makes use of Amazon's optimized technology plus Sprint's national high-speed (EVDO) data network for people to wirelessly search and download content, browse the internet and synch different devices from anywhere anytime. If you think the maiden Kindle portable reader rocks, you simply have to check out the hugely improved Kindle 2 Portable eBook Reader.

Amazon eBook Reader

The largest online bookstore spearheading the resurgence of ebooks with its own kingpin ebook reader, isn't that the perfect union? That was the original Kindle which took the world of reading by storm and we generally agreed that that was the peak of perfection. But no, not quite, we now have the Kindle plus-plus. Yes, the Kindle 2 has arrived, looking better and bringing more.

Like many other things, new-wave reading is electronic. If the e book reader is Oprah's current favorite gadget, so will it be for many of her fans. Sure enough, the Kindles have been flying off the shelves. And why not, all-in-one shopping, purchasing and immediate downloading of books online anytime anywhere in the US and you don't even need a computer for that as it's done on the reader itself.

Plenty of new-brand e-book readers are coming onto the bandwagon fast and furious but the safest bet is still placed with the long established top two players: the Amazon Kindle and Sony PRS respectively. Between them they dominate the market and deservedly so. With the launch of the Kindle 2, the talk in reading circles is that Amazon has put itself in a league solely of its own drawing away even from the Sony PRS.

To get hold of the Kindle 2, you have to act fast. Stock-outs especially during peak seasons are nothing new with the Amazon Kindle. For back-to-back Christmases, they sold out long before the holiday proper. Quoted delivery lead time continues to be volatile due to all the rage that it is now. EBay may be an alternative marketplace for the red hot e reader but price premium may be needed to circumvent the crunch.

The Kindle may come in an off-white color but it's really green at its core. Given that it's going to revolutionize the way people read and the scale of its impact based on the its projected sales volume, it's not difficult to imagine the number of trees that would be spared from being turned into paper for books which in turn benefits the environment and then ultimately us all, readers and non-readers alike.

The Kindle 2 is also easier for your pockets. Although somewhat pricey, it essentially pays for itself pretty quickly especially in the case of avid readers. Amazon ebooks cost half that of their paper counterparts. Shop, buy and retrieve books online through Whispernet directly on the reader itself and bypass the hassle and expenses of driving around and waiting in line. Free sampling of ebooks from Amazon eBook Reader is also a standard practice.

The Kindle 2 Book Reader Electronic Is In

It brought online bookstores to people. Now Amazon is bringing ebooks to readers and the device to read them with too. We're stepping into the future of reading as more people catch on to reading ebooks. Without doubt, the Kindle 2 ebook reader has done wonders in paving the way and now we have the Kindle 2, bigger, faster and more powerful. Fasten your seatbelts!

With the supply chain of books becoming increasingly e-based, paper-filled books were always going to turn into e books. Now that we have just the perfect all-in-one device to procure, read and bring with you all the books you want anywhere you go and anytime you want, that's hard to resist. Oprah loves her electronic book reader, so too will many of us love ours.

There are several brands of electronic book readers to choose from in the market. Having that said, don't bother to look beyond the top of the pack as many of the rest are still in beta. By far the two most proven brands are the Amazon Kindle and Sony PRS. Both have generated running series and are already into their latter models. The consensus though, is Amazon with its Kindle 2 is fast drawing away from competition with Sony's flagship PRS - 700 a distant second.

The Kindle ebook reader is in great demand. Availability of stock at Amazon is at best intermittent. Waiting time fluctuates and they are not accepting overseas orders although some 3rd-party distributers and retailers do ship abroad with due shipping charges and mark-up. They are also sporadically spotted on eBay and when they are, are surely to be accompanied by price premium.

Electronic book readers are a boon not only to people, they are environmentally friendly too. Imagine the number of trees a top brand like Kindle can be credited with saving from the paper mill for books let alone the total effect of all e book reader brands combined. Through the Whispersync, the 15 million or so iPhones and iPod Touches are recently equipped to read Amazon e-titles making them green too overnight.

Kindle Book Reader Electronic save money too. Savvy readers would realize that Amazon subsidizes its Kindle book sales and provides free sampling of e-books so you are never mistaken about buying a book. That may be string attached to sell its electronic book reader but the bottom line makes sense at the end of the day. Even for occasional readers, this should be a no-brainer. That's on top of all the other good stuff it brings.
